Weekly Summary May 4 - May 10

5/4/2009 - 5/10/2009: 79.6 km 7:15:27 (136 Days)

Well last recovery week from Boston. Better, but not the best. Time and Mileage creeping back up, hips are still giving me grief so I have decided to go back to my old hip strength routines. No real speed in the legs, but I am fine with that. I am really taking to grass running both as a warm-up and cool-down, but also recovery. Managed over 30 minutes in the Vibrams yesterday, and I am noticing them helping with my achilles - all good

This week will be prepping for 5Peaks, which is also tapering for Ottawa 1/2 Marathon, and starting 16 week training for Green Lakes. A mix mash, so really it means be smart. If I wonder if I should do something the answer is no.

The answer is always no:)

Great to see you taking to the grass and FF's. Problem is, once you start wearing them so much, you don't want to wear anything else. Just don't show up at 5Peaks with them....ouch!

Ya, 'cause the answer is always No to me! Tehehe.... just kidding. It's actually always yes. I'm spoiled.
So, David didn't mention that I tried out my new FF's yesterday. Yup, I received 1 from each child for Mother's Day. :) Wow... they are really kewl. Once NCM 1/2 is over, I plan to get a lot more use out of them. Can't wait.
Dibbers - Remember.... NO NO NO!

Kimberley - What a nice gift! Nothing more fun than a FF run together!

David - can you share your hip strength routine sometime?

Sara,
I'll bring down the workout my Physiotherapist gave me on Saturday. Easier to show than explain. Kimber has as few additional ones too from the same therapist.

That would be great, thanks.

Sara - Thanks!!! Yes, I'm really looking forward to enjoying the FF's more once the NCM 1/2 is run. That's my A race so I'm not doing anything except following my training plan.

Can't wait to meet you guys on Saturday.

Hugs!
